Vis, Dwarka: The police team of Dwarka South police station has arrested a criminal from Bihar with a reward of 20 thousand rupees in a murder case.

According to DCP Santosh Kumar Meena, Sonu alias Dhuvar was declared a fugitive by the Dwarka court on March 27, 2018. After this, the police department had also announced a reward of 20 thousand rupees on this. Now he could be arrested after continuous efforts of the jail bail release cell and continuous raids for five days.

According to the police, raids were being done continuously in Haryana, UP and Bihar to catch it. The accused Sonu alias Dhuvr is a resident of Bhojpur Bihar. For the last few days, the police is doing raids in Haryana, UP and Bihar on a large scale. On June 3, the police team got information about the accused. After this raids were conducted in Bihar to catch Sonu and he was arrested from his village. After arrest, he was produced before Duty Magistrate Dwarka. During interrogation, the accused told that he had fled to Gujarat after the incident. There he worked in a welding shop for two years and then lived in different slums under different names.

Used to steal copper wire from shops-office closed in lockdown, arrested
The police team of Dwarka South police station has arrested a youth on charges of theft and burglary. According to the police, this youth used to steal copper wire and AC copper pipe from closed office, market, restaurant etc.

DCP Dwarka Santosh Kumar Meena said that after receiving many such complaints during the lockdown, a team was formed in this matter. The team went to all the places where the incident took place and investigated. Taking the help of technical surveillance, got information about the suspects. On June 2, at 6:30 pm, this team was patrolling near Bhaskaracharya College, Dwarka Sector-2. During this, he was seen roaming in a suspicious state. The police stopped this and started questioning. On search a buttoned knife was recovered from his possession.

During interrogation, accused Gautam alias Shankar told that he lives in Mahavir Enclave-3. He had lost his father in childhood. Now he is addicted to drugs. He admitted that he stole copper wire and copper pipe from closed shops/offices. The stolen goods are sold to two junkyards in Mahavir Enclave.
