Photos of the attack on his convoy have been shared by Dilip Ghosh on Twitter. He has written- ‘The state of democracy in West Bengal is pathetic. TMC goons threw bombs on my car carrying TMC flags and broke the window panes. He also attacked several BJP workers and vandalized several cars. Policemen present on the spot were seen retreating. ‘

Officer and Dinda’s convoy have also been attacked
Significantly, during the last three phases of voting, many incidents of violence have been reported. In the hotseat Nandigram, the convoy of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who was thrashing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, was also attacked a few days ago. The Trinamool Congress workers were accused of this attack. Another BJP candidate and former cricketer Ashok Dinda also came under attack. Dinda’s car broke down and she was also hurt.

The BJP claims that more than a hundred of its leaders and activists have been killed in the last few years.
