Within a year in Bollywood’s Kapoor family, two people said goodbye to the world. Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, last year. At the same time, Rajiv Kapoor passed away on 9 February. Randhir Kapoor and his sister Rima Jain are now left after the death of two brothers out of four siblings. Both have filed a petition in the Bombay High Court for their rights over Rajiv Kapoor Property. On this, the High Court on Monday asked Randhir Kapoor and Reema Jain to bring the papers of Rajiv Kapoor’s divorce.

Justice Gautam Patel heard the petition filed by Randhir Kapoor and Reema Jain for property and credit. The petition said that Rajiv Kapoor married Aarti Sabarwal in the year 2001 and both of them got divorced in 2003.

During the hearing in the High Court, counsel Sharan Jagtiani of Randhir Kapoor and Reema Jain has said that they do not have the divorce papers of Rajiv Kapoor and Aarti Sabarwal and they do not know which family court issued the divorce order.

Rajiv Kapoor dies of heart attack, Randhir Kapoor became emotional

Sharan Jagtiani said in the High Court, ‘Only both brothers and sisters are entitled to Rajiv Kapoor’s property. We do not have their divorce papers. We are trying to find it but we have not found it. They should be exempted from presenting divorce papers. We do not even know whether the divorce order has been issued by the court of Delhi or Mumbai. On this, Justice Gautam has said that the court is ready to give exemption for not presenting the papers of the order of divorce, but first the acceptance letter should be given.

Justice Gautam Patel, in his order, said that in the April 21 additional affidavit of Reema Jain, the fact of this divorce is reaffirmed. It notes that there is some material in the public domain that mentions divorce.
