Earlier, the Yogi government had extended the weekend lockdown for a break on the rising Corona transition in UP. Under this order, a lockdown was ordered in every district of UP from 8 am Friday to 7 am Tuesday. It was later extended to 7 am on Thursday 6 May. Now it has been extended for a full week. However, under the weekend lockdown, the lockdown was already in place from Friday night to Tuesday morning. On 28 April, the Allahabad High Court requested the UP government to impose a 14-day complete lockdown in 5 big cities.

E-pass required, they are exempted
E-pass has been made mandatory for movement between lockdowns. E-pass is being issued to supply essential goods and services. At the same time, some services are exempted from e-pass. Those associated with industrial activities, supply and transport of medical and essential commodities, all commerce, medical emergency, telecom i.e. telecom, postal service, print-electronic media and internet services have been given exemption orders.

How to apply for e-pass
Additional Chief Secretary Renuka Kumar on Monday sent a letter to all the district collectors of the state directing them to issue e-passes for those traveling for the supply of essential goods and health services during the lockdown period, like last year. Huh. For this, the website of rahat.up.nic.in/epass has also been released by the state government, through which any institute or person can apply for e-pass by giving their details. Along with this, provision has also been made for institutional pass this time, in which an institution can apply for a maximum of 5 personnel including its applicant.

In view of the increasing risk of corona infection, the lockdown in UP is being gradually increased. It is believed that it can be further increased in the coming days to overcome the infection. At the same time, it has been made mandatory to make e-passes to the people except those connected to the services required for movement during the lockdown.
