Creta, MG’s new car to compete with Seltos, learn details

MG Motors has officially announced the launch of a new SUV in the Indian market. The company is testing the petrol version of its ZS SUV. Earlier, the electric version of this car has been launched in India. The petrol version is expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year. The new model can be named MG Astor. The company has trademarked this name in India.

Advanced Driver Assistance System
This car could be the first model in its segment to come with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The company is currently testing the emergency brake of this car in India. Adaptive cruise control will also be provided in the car.

The company launched ZS Electric in February. There has been no change in it mechanically. The current 44.5 kWh Hi-Tech IP6 certified battery pack has been given to power the permanent magnet synchronous motor in this SUV. Its motor generates maximum power of 141 bhp and peak torque of 353 Nm. This electric car offers a range of 419 km. Understand in easy language, once full charge, this car travels up to 419 km without stopping.

The company claims that this electric SUV is fully charged in 6 hours with the help of a standard AC charger. Whereas, with the help of 50kW DC fast charger, this SUV charges up to 80 percent in just 50 minutes.

These cars will be hit
It will not be easy for MG Astor to make a place in the Indian market. In India, this car will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta and Kia Celtos. Both these cars are quite popular in India.
