Karawal Nagar Murder: A flick-blower kills mother-son after seeing cash and jewelery

The mentally disturbed young man was struck by a tantric because of a family dispute. The tantrik came home and started doing tantra-mantra. During this time, his eyes were placed on the jewelery and cash kept in the cupboard. Greedily carried out the double murder on Wednesday night. Karawal Nagar Police Station arrested the accused Rahul (39) from Indrapuri of Loni.

Rahul is a contract worker in Loni municipality of Ghaziabad district. He used to chant. About 6 lakh jewelery, mobile of the deceased, mobile purchased from the looted amount and his own phone have been recovered.

DCP (North-East) Sanjay Kumar Sain said that Umlesh (56) and his son Ashok alias Montu (29) of Joharipur were murdered on Wednesday night. Investigation revealed that the deceased woman’s husband had retired from DDA and died on 29 April. A team of SHO Ram Avtar Tyagi, Inspector Rajendra, Prakash Roy, SI Mandeep, Ankit, ASI Vishal, Luv Deshwal, Sepoy Prakash, Sunil, Ajay Tomar and Dinesh were formed under the supervision of ACP Harish Chandra Kukreti.

The deceased Ashok’s phone was missing, whose Loni was found after checking the location. The police team reached Rahul’s house on the basis of this. CCTV footage matched her stature. During interrogation, Rahul confessed to double murder. He told that he also works as a chandelier. Ashok met her in 2020, who wanted to perform the puja due to family feud. Rahul went to Ashoka’s house to do puja many times. During this time, he saw a lot of jewelery and cash inside the cupboard kept in Ashoka’s room.

On Wednesday night too, he went home on the pretext of worship and ate dinner there. Mixed the intoxicating substance at night and drank both of them. When Ashoka began to faint, his mother asked Rahul about this and he said that the mantras had an effect. After this, he sent Umalesh to collect the goods from his shop on the ground floor for worship. When she returned, Rahul was strangling her son Ashok. When the woman started making noise, the accused also strangled her with a dupatta. After this, he escaped with jewelery and cash from the cupboard. After returning from there, he bought a mobile.
