Jitin Prasada, who recently joined the BJP from Congress, has got a place in the Yogi cabinet. He is the only Brahmin face among the seven leaders inducted into the cabinet on Sunday. After becoming a part of Jitin’s cabinet, Manish Tewari wanted to know the reason for his change of heart. In this he also included Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Congress leader Manish Tewari tweeted tagging Jitin and Jyotiraditya Scindia. He wrote- ‘Jitin Prasad has represented a generation change in the Congress till 2004-14. He was a minister in the UPA government. Today he is a minister of BJP. He followed the path of Jyotiraditya Scindia. How did their hearts change? I wish I could read their mind. Life always surprises you. Hope Jitin finds satisfaction in his new avatar.
It is difficult to get a clear meaning of what Manish Tewari wants to say after all. But, it is true that he has been uprooted from the party high command for some time now. Even hours before this, he attacked the cabinet expansion in Punjab. Senior Congress leader questioned the decision of ouster of senior leader Balbir Singh Sidhu from Charanjit Singh Channi’s cabinet.
Tiwari tweeted and wrote, ‘Who should be a minister or who should not be it is the prerogative of the CM. However, I am compelled to say that Balbir Singh Sidhu did a wonderful job as Health Minister during the worst days of COVID-19. The selflessness with which he worked cannot be compared.
In Punjab Congress, when the internal squabble between Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu was at its peak, he had targeted the high command through a tweet. Tiwari had taken a jibe at Sidhu while posting a video of Sidhu’s ‘brick to brick statement’. Then he wrote, ‘Even if we sigh, we become infamous, even if they kill, there is no discussion’. This lion belongs to Akbar Allahabadi.
