India has requested Pakistan to allow Go-First’s Srinagar-Sharjah flight to pass through its airspace in the interest of common people. Government officials gave this information on Thursday. Pakistan on Tuesday did not allow the Srinagar-Sharjah flight to use its airspace and forced it to use the longer airspace. In such a situation, the plane was delayed in reaching the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over Gujarat.
‘Go First’, earlier known as ‘Go Air’, started its Srinagar-Sharjah flight service from October 23, which was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Kashmir last month.
A source said, “Pakistan authorities had approved the operation of GoFirst flight on the Srinagar-Sharjah sector on October 23, 24, 26 and 28.”
After this, Pakistan stopped the clearance of that flight for the period from October 31 to November 30, the sources said. The source said, “The matter has been immediately taken up with Pakistan through diplomatic channels and we have requested Pakistan to allow this flight to pass through Pakistani airspace keeping in view the interest of common people who have booked tickets. be allowed.”

According to officials, Pakistan did not allow this on Tuesday, after which the plane had to pass over Gujarat and due to this the journey was delayed by 40 minutes. Even in return, the plane took such a long time.
Officials said that the Pakistani government has not given any reason for denying permission to the flight service.
He said the said flight service operates four times a week and between October 23 and October 31, no problem was encountered while using Pakistani airspace. However, Go-First is yet to comment on the matter.
