Story: The story of the film shows how Mumbai’s don Nawab Khan’s (Raza Murad) struggle to regain his legacy has led to outrage and deceit and forgery. The movie begins with the don Nawab Khan’s son Kader Khan (Abhimanyu Singh) being told by his partner Javed (Jimmy Shergill) that the don’s legacy will no longer be in the underworld as some forces want to oust him and take over as don. Javed succeeds in proving that he can make Raat the new don of Mumbai by eliminating all the enemies from his plan. Rebellion, malice and plenty of mayhem ensue in this tale but does the Don’s authoritarian hand prevail in the end? To know this it is necessary to watch this film.
Consultant: Jimmy Shergill impresses with his performance in Javed’s screenplay. Jimmy, who has been active in Hindi cinema for a long time, made us happy by agreeing here too. Abhimanyu Singh in the character of Kader Khan also came in many powerful looks while the same actor Akshay Sengupta will be seen in a different style as DDCP Ajay Joshi. Along with this experienced actors like Anant Nag, Raza Murad, Govind Namdev, Sayaji Rao Shinde, Alok Pandey have given life to the film.
Final Take: The story of this film gives a different color to the world of Mumbai’s underworld. Writer director Shravan Tiwari has written his story with great understanding due to which a lot of suspense is seen in it. The film romanticises us a lot and its script keeps us watching till the end. How the story and script, Judai is effective and coupled with the direction makes Azam a great film. Also, if you like suspense thriller movies then this movie is special for you.
