Gangubai Kathiawadi Teaser: ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ teaser release, Alia Bhatt’s bold style will surprise

Who was Gangubai Kathiawadi?
In the film, Alia Bhatt is playing the role of Gangubai Kathiawadi, popularly known as ‘Mumbai’s Mafia Queen’. The film is based on the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by writer S Hussain Jedi. Gangubai became an influential woman in Mumbai after prostitution at an early age in the 60s. The film will be released on 30 July 2021.

Gangubai’s life was full of problems
According to Mukitab, Gangubai Kathiawadi’s real name was Ganga Harjivandas and she belonged to a rich family in Gujarat. She wanted to become an actress and meanwhile fell in love with her father’s accountant and they got married. After marriage, she moved to Mumbai and it was from here that the difficult time of Gangubai’s life started. Her husband sold her at the brothel for Rs 500, where she met many of Mumbai’s notorious criminals and mafia who used to come there as customers.

This is the cast of the film
Apart from Alia Bhatt, Vijay Raj, Huma Qureshi, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa will be seen in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The film will also have cameos from Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi.
