New Delhi: The month of Sawan (Sawan 2023) is considered the most sacred in Sanatan Dharma. Every year ‘Hariyali Teej’ (Hariyali Teej 2023) is celebrated on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. This year the holy fast of ‘Hariyali Teej’ is coming on Saturday, 19 August 2023.
The day of ‘Hariyali Teej’ holds special importance for married women. According to the theory, women who observe this fast are blessed with a unique voice. Married women observe a waterless fast and pray for the long life and happy married life of their husbands. In the Harit Teej method, Lord Bholenath and Mother Parvati are worshiped along with the rituals. It is said that by observing this fast, love like Mahadev and Maa Gauri remains between husband and wife and their relationship breaks. According to the Panchang, the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan is starting on August 18 at night 8 Gemini 1 minute. It will end the next day on August 19 at 10:19 pm. According to Udaya Tithi, Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on August 19.

First celebration – 7 am 47 minutes to 9 am 22 minutes
Second festival – II 12 Nagarjuna 32 minutes to II 2 Nagarjuna 7 minutes
Third door – 6 pm to 52 pm to 7 pm to 15 pm

worship method
Take bath in the morning on the day of Hariyali Teej.
Wear new clothes and take a vow of fasting.
On this day Nirjala fast is kept for the whole day.
Clean the place of worship.
Clay idols of Mahadev and Maa Parvati.
Install those ornaments on red colored ornaments.
All the ingredients of suhaag in the plate of worship.
Sell those things to Mahadev and Maa Parvati.
Meditate on Mahadev and Mother Parvati.
Read Teej Katha and perform Aarti at the end.
Do the same method twice in the evening also.
Then observe the fast the next day.
Glory of Harit Teej
According to religious scholars, Mother Parvati and Shivji met on the day of Hariyali Teej. According to the legend, Mother Parvati had done severe penance to marry Mahadev. After this Bholenath accepted mother Gauri as his wife. It is said that that auspicious day was the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan. Since then, Hariyali Teej fast was observed. According to Christians, by observing this fast, while married women get long life of their husbands, unmarried girls get a husband like Shiva.
