Kolkata / Udalguri
BJP is putting all its emphasis on assembly elections in West Bengal and Assam. On Tuesday, during one of his election programs in Udalguri, Assam, Amit Shah claimed that the BJP was going to win 200 seats in Bengal. Taking a dig at the opposition parties here, Shah said that the Congress party cannot stop infiltration in the state by joining hands with Badruddin Ajmal.

In his interview to PTI, the BJP leader predicted his fiery victory in Assam. He said that he was desperate to remove TMC. They are ready to accept Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of development. Shah claimed that BJP would win more than 200 seats in the 294-seat West Bengal assembly elections. He said that the alliance of the Congress with the AIUDF in Assam would be an important factor in the BJP’s victory.

Target on Congress-TMC
Shah said that with this decision of the Congress, the voters of the state will come to the saffron party decisively, because its main rival party cannot stop the Bangladeshi infiltration in Assam. Shah said that Congress will not stop infiltration by joining hands with Badruddin Ajmal. When asked about the ground of his trust in the BJP’s big win in Bengal, Shah said, ‘The party has strengthened its position in the state with the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, TMC has lost its support base. Its leaders are leaving the party. Most of them have joined BJP. ‘

BJP strengthened in Lok Sabha elections: Shah
Shah said that we won 18 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections. In the three seats we lost by a very small margin. That too when people were skeptical about our victory. Now they are sure that we can win. People are longing for change and such people are with us. When asked about Rahul Gandhi’s claim that the Congress will stop the implementation of CAA in the state, Shah said that he (Rahul) should also make it clear whether he will implement NRC or not?

Shah said that Rahul Gandhi should tell what is his policy regarding NRC? He said that BJP has insisted that it will implement a revised NRC, which will ensure that Indians join it and those who are illegal foreigners can be identified.
