A sensational incident of gang rape has come to light in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Here some people gang-raped a woman near Medikonduru Bypass Road. According to the information, the incident happened at 9.30 pm on Wednesday. When the couple was returning to Sattenapalli on a bike after attending a wedding ceremony. They were stopped by some people near Paladugu crossroads. The couple was first assaulted and their money and gold ornaments were looted. The woman was then dragged to a nearby field, where she was allegedly gang-raped by the men.
Case registered around midnight
After the incident the couple went to Sattenapalli police station to report the crime, but were sent to Medikonduru police station on the grounds that the crime took place in that jurisdiction. Finally a case has been registered around midnight. The couple is undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital in Guntur.
