Tirupati
Unique colors are seen during the Panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh. Here, candidates are using world famous Tirupati Laddu cosmetics to woo voters in their favor. Due to the issue of reverence, people are not able to do this Prasad. This is the first time that this holy offering of Lord Venkateswara is being used unfairly for his own benefit in elections.

A case of distribution of Tirupati laddu prasadam has occurred in Chandra Giri area of Andhra Pradesh. The situation is that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the organization that oversees the work of the world-famous Lord Venkateswara Temple Tirumala, is not able to deliver the holy laddu by itself. But at the same time, the candidates of the Panchayat elections are going to the door of the people and handing these laddus themselves. Along with this, Tirumala Kalyanotsavam Laddu and Tiruchanur Temple Laddus are being packaged and given to the voters.

There has been a case of distribution of Prasadam bags in the last few days in other areas including Tiruchanur Chilled Wala falling under Chandra Giri Assembly constituency. Packets weighing from 650 to 700 grams cost 200 rupees. Demand for this holy laddu is always there. Many times the pilgrims who go to Tirumala have to return empty handed without having to do it.

TTD where there is silence on the issue of distribution of such a large number of holy offerings on one side. The Election Authority has started investigating the matter. Sources in TTD told our associate newspaper Times of India that about 80000 small laddus, 15000 kalyanotsavam laddoos and 8500 vada prasadam and Tiruchenur laddus have recently been given to an unknown person.

Politics has also started on this matter. BJP has accused YSR Congress Party workers for this. BJP state spokesperson Saman Ji Srinivas said that YSR activists are misusing a large number of penalty offerings to woo voters. He has demanded an inquiry from the Election Commission to disqualify such candidates.
