ATS registers murder case, ‘body of Scorpio owner Mansukh was in water for 10 hours’

A case has been registered for the murder of Mansukh Hiren, owner of a Scorpio car found near the building of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The ATS registered a case of murder against unknown people at the Kala Chowki unit on the complaint of Mansukh’s wife Vimala Hiren. The police had earlier described it as a suicide, while the post-mortem report on Sunday said that Mansukh’s body had been in the water for about ten hours and there were marks on his body at various places. Wounds were seen on the back and under the eye.

A senior official associated with the ATS said that the Kala Chowki ATS has initiated an investigation by registering a case under sections 302, 201, 34 and 120 (B) of the IPC. The DGP of Maharashtra confirmed this with NBT.

Mansukh’s body was found from Kalwa-Mumbra Cay Bandar Bay. The Mumbra police of Thane had registered a suicide case, but Mansukh’s family denied the suicide. Mumbai ATS officials went to Thane on Sunday and held talks with Thane police officials. He went to Mansukh’s house and also met Mansukh’s wife, brother and other family members. They stayed at home for about three hours. He captured the document related to Mansukh.

Visra, forensic report yet to come
Mansurakh’s Visra report and Kalina Forensic Lab report are yet to come. This may take 15 days. Sources say that some police officers and media related to this case are also on the radar of ATS. These include those whom Mansukh had mentioned in a letter to the Chief Minister. In this, the name of Sachin Vazh, the journalist of a media house and the head of Crime Intelligence Unit, is prominent. Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had sought to hand over the case to the Central Investigation Agency NIA, describing the role of Sachin Vazhe in the Assembly as a suspect.

‘Nothing found in CCTV footage’
The police tried to scan the footage of CCTV cameras installed in different parts of the city to find out the activities after Mansukh’s disappearance, but the police is yet to find anything. According to sources, many cameras are not working, while some cameras do not have clear visuals.

Can’t find answers to these questions
Mansukh’s wife Vimala claims that Mansukh cannot commit suicide, while DCP’s statement was that Mansukh committed suicide. After all, who is telling the truth?
