Patients’ femur bone broke after months of recovery
Doctors say that avascular necrosis is currently being seen in patients who had recovered from Covidmonths ago. Therefore, considering it as a risk of classic post-COVID-complication. All those patients who have been found to have the problem of death of bone, the age of those patients is less than 40 years.
These patients had severe pain in the femur bone and then it was found that this bone was completely destroyed. Recently, this disease has been published in the medical journal ‘BMJ Case Studies’, in which it has been described as ‘Long Kovid’.
From reducing breast size, flaxseed removes these diseases, drinking it with milk gives many benefits.
The reason for the death of bone is lack of blood.
Avascular necrosis is also known as death of bone tissues. This is a disease that occurs due to lack of blood supply. When blood flow stops, bone tissue dies, which is called necrosis. If we understand it in simple language, then due to lack of blood, the bones of our body start melting. Initially, the patient may experience severe pain.
Symptoms of avascular necrosis
- Sharp pain in thigh and hip bones
- difficulty walking
- persistent pain while sleeping
- Pain in shoulders, knees, arms and legs
- persistent joint pain
The link between COVID-19 and bone death
Apart from the death of bone, health experts are also looking at many problems in those recovering from Covidwhich are continuing for a long time. As with the black fungus caused by excessive use of steroids, there has been a long debate going on. Medically avascular necrosis has been associated with high-dose steroids such as prednisone. However, nothing can be said about its exact reason yet.
It is known that in Covidrecovery, drugs like steroids are given to patients to reduce the inflammation caused by the virus. The problem of inflammation is cured by these medicines but it stops the flow of blood. This is the reason that the tissue present in the body gets damaged.
How to prevent and treat
Nothing can be said at this time about whether patients recovering from Covidmay be at risk of avascular necrosis or are at higher risk of developing it. At present, doctors are advising patients recovering from Covidnot to ignore the pain in the hip or thigh. Those who have this problem should get MRI done immediately and without delay contact the doctor so that the problem can be diagnosed in time.
