Big decision of Delhi government regarding parking, rules will be changed from mall to hospital

New Delhi.
The Ministry of Power, Government of Delhi has issued a new directive for all buildings (buildings) with parking capacity of 100 vehicles. It states that at least 5 percent of the space for parking of electric vehicles should be given separately in all these buildings. Apart from this, it has also been instructed to provide separate facility of electric charger in these parking slots for electric vehicles.

These new directives were announced by Satyendar Jain, the Energy Minister in the Delhi government. These new directives will be applicable in all public buildings. These include malls, shopping complexes, cinema halls, multiplexes, office space, restaurants, hospitals, etc.

According to reports, by December 2021, buildings for these categories will start getting parking facilities for electric vehicles. In fact, under the Delhi government’s new electric vehicle policy, these building complexes will be eligible for subsidy, where up to Rs 6,000 subsidy per charging point will be available in the parking area.
