Amarinder wrote in the tweet, ‘Met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Discussed the long running farmers’ movement against agricultural laws. Apart from helping Punjab in crop diversification, urged him to repeal all three agriculture laws and resolve the impasse at the earliest with the guarantee of MSP.

The former Punjab CM met the Union Home Minister at his residence. This intensified speculation about his future in politics. Singh had reached the national capital on Tuesday, days after he resigned from the post of Punjab CM.

The meeting was also significant as Singh had not opened his cards but claimed that he had not given up politics and would fight till the end. The Congress veteran also launched a scathing attack on his arch-rival Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was appointed the party’s Punjab unit president. Sidhu had suddenly resigned from the post of Congress’s Punjab unit president on Tuesday. Regarding his political future, Singh had said that he had many options before him.
