Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced to extend the range of warranty and free service facilities to all its dealerships across the country by 31 July 2021. This decision has been taken by the company in view of the current situation of Corona across the country. The company said in an official statement in the matter that the decision has been taken to prioritize the safety and well-being of customers and associates of the company. It is important to note here that this decision will benefit those customers, whose warranty and free service facility was expiring between April 1, 2021 and May 31, 2021. The limit of warranty and free service facility from the company has been extended till 31 July 2021.
Indeed, among the second wave of Corona, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is not the only company to extend the free service and warranty period of its two-wheelers. Rather, apart from Honda, other two-wheeler companies like Hero MotoCorp, Honda TwoWheelers India, KTM, TVS Motor Company (TVS) and Yamaha have also been servicing and warrantying their two-wheelers. Duration is extended.
How many sales were there in April?
Earlier Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) sold 2,83,045 units in April 2021 total (domestic + exports). Whereas, in March 2021, Honda two-wheelers sold a total of 4,11,037 two-wheelers. That is, the company’s total sales declined by 31.1 per cent month-on-month in April 2021 as compared to March 2021. It is clear from the report that the second wave of Corona has had a huge impact on the company’s sales. However, during this time the company has made tremendous sales of its two-wheelers outside India.
