Maharashtra: 4 days again, new cases cross 6 thousand
6,388 new cases of Covid-19have been reported in Maharashtra. This information was given in the bulletin released on Thursday. After the arrival of 6,388 new cases of infection in Maharashtra, the number of infected people increased to 63,75,390. At the same time, after the death of 208 more patients, the death toll increased to 1,34,572. More than 6,000 new cases of infection have been reported in the state after a gap of four days.

New trend of breakthrough infection in Kerala

Here, 14,974 people who took one dose of the vaccine while 5,042 people who took both the doses have been found to be corona positive.

The first case of death has come from the Delta Plus variant of the corona virus in Mumbai. A 63-year-old elderly woman suffering from lung infection died in the city. This is the first case of death in Mumbai and the second case of death from the Delta Plus variant in Maharashtra. There are 65 Delta Plus cases in the state at present, out of which 11 are from Mumbai only.

The indigenously-manufactured single-dose ‘Sputnik Lite’ vaccine is set to be launched in September. Panacea Biotech has recently submitted documents related to this with the drug regulator of India. The company has sought approval for the emergency use of the vaccine. This vaccine has been up to 80% effective in clinical trials. There has been a partnership between Panacea Biotech and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) regarding this vaccine. Experts say that ‘Sputnik Lite’ will be available in limited quantity in India initially. Its price is estimated to be Rs 750.
