What do the doctors have to say?
Vinay Jacob, Plastic Surgeon of JJ Hospital, says, “I get two-three cases a week for those who want to remove stretch marks from their abdomen. It is not possible to delete them. Anyone who claims to have eradicated them is a lie. A young mother can get some help with a tummy tuck procedure. Many times people want to resort to surgery like liposuction for this, but even that surgery does not remove them completely and it is very expensive. At the same time, Firoza Parikh, Head of Gynecologist, Jaslok Hospital, says, ‘Stretch marks are a part of pregnancy. These are not scars on your body but a sign of motherhood. It is very natural, there is no need to be ashamed of it.
