A man was lynched to death on suspicion of theft in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area. The name of the youth is Ausit Das (28), who lived in G-Block of Jahangirpuri. According to the police, Ausit’s disappearance was reported at around 10 am, after which the police recovered his body from Alipur.
During investigation, it was found that he was beaten in the casting yard of the construction company near Majlis Park metro station. DCP North West Usha Rangnani said that two accused have been arrested. One of the accused is a security guard, while the other is the driver of the vehicle in which the body was taken to Alipore.
Police had found the missing address in the PCR call
According to the police, the names of the accused are Kishan and Dharmendra. The kidnapping FIR was lodged after the police came to know about Ausit’s missing in a PCR call in the morning. Investigation revealed that two people were taken by bike to Ausit with a costing yard near the Majlis Park Metro.
Detected on checking CCTV
When the police searched the CCTV footage nearby, Ausit did not show out. However, a Bolero vehicle was seen. After this the police picked up Kishan and Dharmendra. One person was the security guard of that yard. Both are being questioned.
He got beaten up so much on suspicion of theft
Police said sections of murder were also added to Kidnapping’s FIR. It was learned that the accused suspected theft on the average. After this they took him to the yard, where he was beaten so much that he died. After this, he threw the dead body in Alipur from the car that lived in the yard. At present, the police is investigating whether the dispute started over the theft of something.
