Just before the Independence Day, the Special Staff of Dwarka district has uncovered a big case of supply of arms in Delhi-NCR. The Special Staff team has arrested the arms supplier Mufid of Mewat with 20 modern pistols and cartridges. Importantly, it used to supply arms to gangsters by becoming a balloon seller with the aim of dodging the police.

When the police caught it, it was still standing with balloons on the red light. He had hidden his weapons under the packet of balloons. The accused has been arrested in Jafarpur Kalan area. Dwarka DCP Santosh Meena said that Head Constable Rasamuddin had received information that he was going to come to Jafarpur area to supply arms. On the same information, the team of Inspector Naveen Kumar under the supervision of ACP Operation Vijay Singh Yadav laid the trap.

When the police team reached there, even at that time this balloon was standing in hand. After ascertaining its identity, the police wanted to search it. At that time also it started calling itself a balloon seller. When the police asked to get the bag searched, only balloon packets were seen on the top of the bag, but as soon as the police checked inside the bag, he took out a pistol and tried to run it on the police.

The DCP said that to break the chain of arms suppliers, the team of special staff is continuously arresting. So far 7 people have been arrested in this operation. 33 weapons have been recovered.
