A case of rape of a minor girl has come to light at Hotel Three Star International in Paharganj, Central Delhi. Paharganj police station has registered a case under the Rape and POCSO Act. The accused youth is known to the girl’s family. He is absconding since the incident. Police officers said that many teams are raiding for the arrest of the accused. The CCTV cameras of the hotel were seized and the role of the staff is also being probed. The victim girl is 13 years old and she studies in class 9th. She lives with her family in Hauzkaji area. The victim told the police that she along with her mother used to visit Hari Har Ashram frequently to eat bhandara. It was here that she met a boy named Anil, whom she considered as her brother. On Sunday, Anil got a call from his father. He told her mother that he would get her daughter a uniform. Mother was ill. The victim told that that’s why the mother sent her with Anil. The girl alleges that Anil took her to Hotel Three Star in Paharganj at around 10:30 am on Sunday, where she made her sit in a room. He started saying that he has some work there and eats some and goes. When she started getting scared, she cried and tried to run out of the room. It is alleged that Anil held him tightly and put his sardine in his mouth. Then raped. Later she took out the chunni from her mouth and came out of the hotel after running from the room. The accused also ran after him. The girl claims that the hotel manager was sitting downstairs then. The accused left her till Sita Ram Bazaar. From there she reached her home alone. When the mother came home in the afternoon, she told her ordeal. His mother called the police and informed about the incident. The police took him to Lady Hardinge Medical College, where his medical was done. His counseling was done. Police say that they have seized the CCTV cameras in and around the hotel. Raids are being conducted at various places to arrest the accused.
