Dharmendra became emotional after remembering Sasikala, said – I used to call ‘Aye Dharam …’

I can’t remember all the movies, but my best 3 films were Anupama, Dewar and Sasikala with me in Phool Aur Patthar. She was my senior and had done a lot of films when I started my career. I think we probably worked together for the first time in the film ‘Anapadha’ in which Mala Sinha was in the lead role. The film is still remembered for its songs.

Dharmendra further said, ‘Sasikala was typecast in the role of vamp. However, in the film ‘Anupama’, this image of him was broken by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It was a very positive role. I still wonder that he played very few positive characters. She was a very good person in her personal life. Like Sasikala, Pran Saheb was also typecast. ‘
