At the third convocation of Bennett University, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan appreciated its efforts. The third convocation of Bennett University was held on Sunday. In this, more than 400 graduate students were awarded their degrees in different programs. Many students were also awarded with Gold and Silver medals for their best performance. The convocation was organized online amid the Covid-19epidemic.
The Union Education Minister expressed happiness over being a part of the third convocation of Bennett University. Also congratulated the graduating students. He encouraged them. Said it was his day. This is the result of their hard work and honesty.
Pradhan said that it is heartening to see the dedication of Bennett University in the field of education. It is towards establishing itself as a center of quality education. In order to become leaders in the knowledge economy today, universities and other higher education institutions are becoming the harbingers of world-class research and innovation. I am glad that Bennett University has fueled a culture of research and innovation. The university is funding 55 out of 98 registered PhD students.
He said that we have brought the National Education Policy 2020. I am glad that Bennett University has made its faculty aware of the new education policy through several webinars and seminars and has included it in its curriculum.
Pradhan said that on the first anniversary of the release of National Education Policy 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several important initiatives of NEP 2020 including ‘Academic Bank of Credit’, Multiple Entry-Exit System, National Education Technology Forum. We are glad that Bennett University sensitized the University Fraternity about NEP 2020 by conducting several live webinars and seminars.
The Education Minister said that the faculty and students of Bennett University with well qualified faculty, strong record of publications in reputed national and international journals have filed 18 patents. 412 students of the university have graduated. Congratulating all the students, he said that it is the result of their hard work. This is his day.
Many eminent personalities of the country attended the third convocation ceremony of Bennett University along with Dharmendra Pradhan. Biocon Executive Chairperson Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and Nestle India Chairman and MD Suresh Narayanan graced the event as ‘Guest of Honour’. At the same time, Debjani Ghosh, President of NASSCOM made a presence as a ‘Special Guest’. University Chancellor Vineet Jain presided over the program. The same, Vice Chancellor Dr Prabhu Agarwal presented the annual report of the university.
