The accused have been identified as Pintu Yadav, a resident of Tagore Garden, Shiva Bharti and Sanjay, a resident of Swaroop Nagar. Pintu is a declared miscreant of Rajouri Garden police station and has 11 cases registered against him. At the same time, 12 criminal cases are registered against Sanjay. Police have recovered pistol, two mobile phones, scooty and car used in the crime from their possession.
DCP Urvija Goyal said that on the night of November 16, at 2.15 pm, Abhishek, a resident of Shakurpur, gave a complaint of kidnapping and robbing a car in Punjabi Bagh area. Told that he was returning home from his brother’s house in his Wagon R car. In Punjabi Bagh, three miscreants stopped his car and boarded it and kidnapped him. On the way, the miscreants took away ten thousand rupees from him by taking the PIN number of the ATM, threatening to shoot him. The miscreants robbed two mobile phones from him and took him off and fled with his car. Punjabi Bagh Police started investigation. Along with this, special staff was also engaged. Told that the miscreants have run towards Rajouri Garden.
In the Rajouri Garden area, the team of Inspector Neeraj Kumar tried to stop the car by identifying it. During this, the miscreants fired two shots at the police team. Three rounds of counter-firing was done by the police. There were no casualties in the firing. The miscreants fled leaving the car. The police confiscated the car. The special staff on Wednesday identified the miscreants through CCTV footage from around the incidents and arrested the three miscreants including Pintu.
