Bada Ganpati Temple, Indore – Bada Ganpati Temple, Indore

Bada Ganpati Temple is one of the famous temples of Indore. The 25 feet high idol of Ganesh ji sits in this temple. This temple was constructed in 1875. It is said that a resident of Ujjain, Shri Dadhich had a dream of the idol of Lord Ganesha at night and thus he got up the next day and decided to build a temple there. The idol is made from a mixture of limestone, jaggery, bricks and sacred clay, crushed clay and mud on the feet of horses, cows and elephants, powdered Pancharatnas and water. The structure of the idol is made of gold, silver, brass, copper and iron.

Kanch Mandir is considered a grand temple of Indore. This temple is made of white stone. This temple is constructed in the form of a haveli, which also has canopy balcony and shikara. Let us tell you, the inner part of the temple is completely made of glass. Kanch Mandir is a Jain temple, built by cotton merchant Hukumchand in the 20th century. When you go to this temple, you will see its walls, ceilings, pillars, floors, doors etc. everything is made of glass. The idols of Lord Mahavir and Tirthankara are installed in the temple.
