The Supreme Court has constituted a committee to resolve the ongoing agitation against the new farm laws. Now the first meeting of this committee with the farmers will be held on Thursday, 21 January. Committee member Anil Ghanwat gave this information.
Anil Ghanwat, a member of the committee constituted by the Supreme Court, said – ‘The first meeting of the committee with farmers will be held on January 21. Farmer organizations which can meet directly will meet directly, but those who cannot meet directly will have a meeting with them through video conferencing.
BS Mann himself was removed from the committee
Farmer leader Bhupinder Singh Mann has distanced himself from the committee set up by the Supreme Court regarding agricultural laws. On Friday, he also explained the reason for this. Chairman of the All India Farmers Coordination Committee, Bhupinder Singh Mann said that when the farmers have announced that they will not appear before any committee, then this committee has no meaning.
Farmer movement continues since 55 days
Let us tell you that it has been 55 days for the peasant movement against the new agricultural laws. Till now several rounds of negotiations have been held between the government and the farmers’ organizations, with no result. The government is ready to amend the law, but the farmers’ organization has clearly stated that they will not withdraw from the movement until these black laws are withdrawn. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether the committee formed by the Supreme Court is able to find a suitable solution.
