New DelhiThe cyber cell of North East district has arrested the cyber stalker who made the edited and morphed photograph of a woman viral on social media. The accused had been stocking the woman for about eight months through an Instagram account. Downloaded their photographs, which were morphed and edited and shared after converting them into obscene pictures. Police arrested Hiten (21) resident of Jagatpur Pushta in Wazirabad police station area. The mobile used in the crime has also been confiscated. DCP (North East) Sanjay Kumar Sain told that a woman living at Ghonda Chowk had lodged a complaint about stocking them through Instagram account. She had alleged that her obscene pictures were made and shared even to her husband and friends. This made her very mentally disturbed. The team of SI Naresh Kumar, constable Vivek and Neelam, formed under the supervision of Inspector Vikas Kumar, started the investigation. Asked Instagram to provide account details and wrote to Google for verification. The location was found after continuous and prolonged tracing on the basis of IP address. It was generated by Hiten of Jagatpur Pushta of Wazirabad police station area from his mobile. In this case, Hiten was arrested after registering a case at Gokulpuri police station. During interrogation, the accused told that he is an acquaintance of the victim woman and he was having a dispute with her on some issue. Therefore, to harass and socially defame, a fake account was created on Instagram. On technical examination of the phone of the accused, it was revealed that there was a lot of conversation and chatting between the two. Accused Hiten is unmarried and is only 10th pass.
