Charan Pratap told that Mahendra Pratap Singh’s great-grandfather Dayaramji was the king of Hathras. He said, ‘My great-grandfather Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh was the first king of the country who rebelled against the British in 1918. Before that, he had formed the country’s first interim government in 1915. However, Charan Pratap also expressed anguish that his great-grandfather was not given the respect he deserved by the country. “History has not given them the due they deserve,” he said.

Nominated for Nobel Prize
Describing about Raja Mahendra Singh, he said that his great-grandfather established ‘Prem Dharma’ in Afghanistan. He said that Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh had founded the World Federation, for which he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1932. He said, ‘The same world association later became the foundation stone of the United Nations Organization (UNO). Built India’s first polytechnic college.
