The senior officer of the Indian Police Service has been given the additional charge of the director of the Central Bureau of Investigation. This information has been given in the order issued from the Ministry of Personnel. Sinha is a 1988 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre and is posted as Additional Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The order said that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved that Sinha would look into the duties of the CBI director with immediate effect. CBI chief Rishi Kumar Shukla completed his two-year term on Wednesday.
