More than 6.24 crore doses of Covid-19vaccine have been given in the country. 12,94,979 doses were given on Tuesday itself. This information was given by the Union Ministry of Health. According to the temporary report of the Union Health Ministry, 6,24,08,333 doses of the vaccine have been given till 7 pm on Tuesday evening.
According to the report, 82,00,007 health workers have been given the first dose of vaccine while 52,07,368 health workers have been given the second dose of vaccine. Similarly, the first dose of vaccine has been given to 90,08,905 personnel of the frontline while 37,70,603 personnel of the frontline have been given the second dose of vaccine.
The first dose of the Covid-19vaccine has been given to 2,90,20,989 people over 60 years of age. The second dose of vaccine has been given to 36,899 people in this age group. The ministry said that 71,58,657 people aged 45-60 years of age with severe illnesses have been given the first dose of corona vaccine and 4905 people of this category have been given the second dose of vaccine.
He told that till 7 pm on Tuesday, 12,94,979 vaccine doses have been given. It is the 74th day of the commencement of the nationwide vaccination campaign which began on 16 January. According to the provisional report till 7 pm, out of these 11,77,160 beneficiaries have been given the first dose of vaccine while 1,17,819 people have been given the second dose.
