Mumbai: World Digestive Health Day is celebrated every year on 29 May all over the world. The day is celebrated to mark the anniversary of the establishment of the World Gastroenterology Organization in 1958. Each year it marks the beginning of a twelve-month-long campaign focused on increasing public and medical awareness about a specific digestive disease or disorder.

According to information, proper digestion is very important to keep the body healthy. Poor digestion can cause many diseases. The digestive system is one of the most important functions in the body and it forms 70% of the immunity. So the purpose of celebrating this day is to tell people the importance of the digestive system and what should be done to improve it.
