Jagjit Kaur, wife of late musician Khayyam, dies at the age of 93, people pay tribute

The song ‘Tum Apna Ranj-o-Gum Apni Trouble Mujhe De Do’ sung by Jagjit Kaur in the film Shagun became the most famous. Music composer Uttam Singh, actress Padmini Kapila and many others from the film world have paid tribute to him.

The couple had a son, Pradeep, who died of a heart attack in 2012. Since the son had a very helpful nature, the couple started the ‘Khayyam Jagjit Kaur KPG Charitable Trust’ to help the needy artists and technicians.
