Local people arrived to demand demonstrator farmers to be removed from Singhu border, clash with police-farmers

On Friday, people have arrived for the second consecutive day to remove the agitating farmers on Singhu Border, Delhi adjoining Haryana. Raising slogans, with the demand of the farmers to vacate the Singhu border, the people called themselves local citizens. During this time information about skirmishes and lathicharge has also been found.

According to the information received, people who reached the Singhu border have told themselves of Narela and Bawana area. People have started throwing stones. Stones were thrown from the protestors towards the agitating peasants from behind the police line. There was stonewalling between the peasant faction and the people.

The police tried to convince the local people, but they did not agree. The police started a massive lathicharge. Tear gas shells were also released. Many policemen were injured during this period. There has been an atmosphere of stampede on the Singhu border. During this time, a sword has also been reported by a protestor on the SHO.

Some people reached the Singhu border for the second consecutive day on Friday, chanting slogans like ‘Insult to the Tricolor, Not to be saved Hindustan’ and ‘Empty border’. There were banners with the same slogan in their hands along with the tricolor flag. For more than two months, farmers have been living at different borders of Delhi, including the Singhu border.
