To overcome this problem, all-party leaders of Maharashtra held a meeting with CM Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday evening. Many people, including former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, were present in the meeting through video conferencing. During this, the CM said that the situation in Maharashtra is not good. There seems to be no option but to lockdown here again. Between April 15 and 20, the situation may worsen. The time for putting a lockdown has come to a close. This will be announced within two days.

In a meeting with the leaders, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that it is necessary to break the corona chain. People are getting infected even after being vaccinated. The younger generation is being affected more by this. Thackeray said that lockdown is not necessary, but other countries have also taken such a decision to stop this chain, so lockdown is now the option. This is necessary to prevent the increasing number of corona patients.

Lockdown for at least 14 days: Dr. Tatyarao Lahane
During the meeting, CM asked Dr. Tatya Rao Lahane for his opinion. Lahane said that there should be a lockdown of at least 14 days, only then the corona can be controlled.

Planning will be done within two days: Uddhav
Thackeray said that strict restrictions and relaxation are not possible together. The public will have to suffer a little bit. The CM said that the lockdown would be planned within a day or two to fully implement it. Thackeray said that I have taken both doses of corona vaccine, but antibodies have not yet been prepared in the body.

Government should find a middle path: Ashok Chavan
At the same time, Cabinet Minister Bala Saheb Thorat told the CM that if he had to take tough decisions to save the lives of the people. We have to accept it. Similarly, Ashok Chavan said that the time has come to take bitter decisions. This is a very challenging time. However, Chavan also said that the lockdown should be imposed, but the government should also think about the poor. The government should find a middle ground. In the meeting, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has protested against the re-enactment of the lockdown. He said – People have been spoiled last year. Fadnavis said that if the debt of the state increases then let it increase, but the government should provide a package of relief for the general public.
