On Monday, the police closed all the bars of the building after the video of the fight that took place on Sunday night in My Bar operated in the summit building of Vibhutikhand in Lucknow. Instructions have been given to reopen it only after adequate security arrangements. An FIR has been lodged by the manager of the bar regarding the assault.
ADCP East Qasim Abdi stated that taking seriously the fight between the two parties at My Bar located in the Summit Building, Boombox Bar, fake Cafe & Bar, My Bar, LBW, located on the ground, second, 13th and 15th floors of the building Bar, Lord of the Drinks Bar, Drowning Street Bar, The Bear Cafe have been closed. A police team was deployed outside the building to check on the commuters.
A Police Assistance Center has also been established in the building complex. The owners of the bar and the managers of the summit building have been asked to increase CCTV cameras, install hand and door metal detectors and increase the number of bouncers. Police Commissioner DK Thakur has also announced the opening of a police post in the summit building. Regarding the activities taking place in the building, the manager of the building, bar and pub operators have been summoned by giving notice.
10 bouncers in custody
In the case of assault, a nomination report has been filed against Hamza, Rohit, Akanksha Pandey, Rashmi and Dolly on behalf of My Bar’s manager, Chinhat resident Rajendra Maurya. Inspector Chandrasekhar Singh of Vibhutikand police station said that 10 bouncers, who remained mute spectators during the fighting, have been detained. Everybody has also been challaned in Shantibhang. Police have come to know the names of some people involved in the assault, they are being searched.
Nervous workers
Due to police action, those working in the offices located in the building had to face a lot of problems. Police arrived in the afternoon and sealed the building for some time. Those who were outside remained outside and those inside. After this the bars started to be closed. Fearful of the action, people started packing their belongings and the police stopped them. It was only after the bar closed that the movement of people started. During this some people also had an argument with the police.
