Maharashtra marriage guidelines: 150 people were present in place of 25 in marriage, did not put mask, fine of 50,000 on Mumbai’s marriage hall

The Mumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC) has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on a marriage hall in South Mumbai for violating the corona virus rules. An FIR has been lodged at the Village Devi Police Station against the organizer of the marriage ceremony and the management of the marriage hall.

Due to the rising outbreak of Corona virus in the state and Mumbai, the government has issued several guidelines under the ‘Break the Chain’ campaign. The wedding ceremony held at Marriage Hall allowed 25 persons to attend along with following the social distancing rule.

People were found without masks
150 people attended the wedding ceremony held at the Culture Hall near Babulnath Temple in South Mumbai. The halls of social distancing were blown off in the hall. Many did not even properly mask. On receiving this information, BMC officials raided the marriage hall.

Rules are being violated

Assistant Commissioner of BMC’s D Department Prashant Gaikwad said that due to the outbreak of Corona virus, the government has imposed several restrictions. But the rules are being violated openly. On receiving the information, BMC raided the Culture Hall and took strict action.
