MG Motor’s new 7-seater Savvy variant launched in India, know price and features

MG Motor India has officially launched the new 7-seater Savvy variant of its MG Gloster full size SUV in India. Features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and intelligent 4-wheel drive have been given in this variant (MG Gloster Savvy 7-Seater Variant). The company has kept its ex-showroom price at Rs 37.28 lakh. Let us tell you that earlier the customers got only 6-seat configuration in the Savvy trim.

The 7-seater model of the flagship SUV is now available in Super, Sharp and Savvy trims. No changes have been made to this SUV on the look and mechanical front. The new 7-seat Savvy variant gets a bench seat in the middle row.

For power in the new 7-seater Savvy variant, the existing 2.0-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine has been given. Its engine generates maximum power of 215 bhp and peak torque of 480 Nm. Its engine is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has 7 terrain modes with intelligent 4-wheel drive. These include Snow, Mud, Sand, Sport, Rock, Eco and Auto. Explain that the option of 2.0-litre turbo diesel is also available in the Super and Smart trims of this SUV. However, the 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel is only available in the Sharp and Savvy trims.

The Chinese-owned British carmaker launched its flagship SUV MG Gloster in October last year. It has been given features like Adaptive Cruiser Control System with ADAS, Automatic Parking Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Spot. Apart from this, it also gets Bluetooth connectivity with 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system. It has LED headlights, LED DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels with LED taillights.

In the Indian market, MG Gloster has a direct and tough competition from SUV vehicles like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas G4 in its segment. Let us know that the ex-showroom price of the base Super variant of MG Gloster is Rs 29.98 lakh, which goes up to Rs 37.28 lakh on its top-of-the-line Savvy trim.
