Although the administration is denying the lack of beds in hospitals, the BMC’s dash board figures point towards the shortage of ICUs and ventilator beds of government and private hospitals for critical patients.
According to the Dash Board, there are 87 beds in the ICU and 30 beds of ventilators in Mumbai’s government and private hospitals. According to the BMC Dash Board, 24,873 beds were provided at the DCH, DCHC and CCC-2 centers, of which 5114 beds are vacant.
Mahalakshmi’s Jumbo Center will be activated again
BMC Additional Commissioner Suresh Kakani said that the jumbo center of Mahalaxmi, who was deactivated, is being activated again. 100 beds of ICU will be increased in 2 days. In Poddar Hospital, 193 beds are being opened for corona patients. The 150-bed Kovid Hospital is being reopened at the Worli Nehru Science Center.
9327 new patients of Corona in Mumbai
The death toll is also increasing among the increasing number of corona patients in Mumbai. On Saturday, 9327 new corona patients have been found in Mumbai and 50 people have died. Earlier, on October 24, 50 people died in Mumbai and the number of patients at that time was 1257. In the last 24 hours, 48749 people have been tested for corona in Mumbai, in which 19 percent people were found to be corona infected. With this, 55,411 new patients of corona have been found in the state and 309 people have died from corona.

There have been 1,45,384 new cases of corona virus in the country. More than one lakh cases of corona have been coming continuously for four days. For the first time active cases have reached 10,46,631 in the country. Last year, up to 1.25 million active cases were reported in September peak. From then on it started decreasing steadily. 77,567 people have recovered and 794 people have died in 24 hours with 1,45,384 new cases. Countries like America, Brazil, France are now getting fewer cases from India. More than 50 thousand cases are coming in Maharashtra every day.
