Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda has described the Lakhimpur Kheri incident as sad. He has assured that it will be investigated properly. The guilty will be punished. No one is above the law. This incident of violence should not be seen through election prism.
Nadda on Friday said that a “professional and scientific” investigation will be conducted in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case in Uttar Pradesh. Action will be taken against those involved in this incident. Because no one is above the law.
Nadda, who was here to attend an event, said the incident of violence should not be seen from the point of view of elections, but from the point of view of humanity.
“The law will take its own course,” he said. No one is above the law. An SIT has been formed. Tested to the best of professional and scientific standards. Action will be taken against those involved (in the incident).
To a question on the alleged involvement of Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra’s son in the violence, Nadda said neither the BJP nor its government would support any such activity where law is taken in hand.
