Bhojpuri film industry superstar and BJP MP Ravi Kishan is often seen speaking openly on all social issues. Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan is constantly making efforts for the upliftment of Bhojpuri. He is the only MP in the Lok Sabha, who also introduced a bill to include Bhojpuri in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, so that the Government of India provides protection to this language.

Ravi Kishan wrote in his letter that Bhojpuri region has made an important contribution in the freedom struggle. He said that he himself is also a resident of Jaunpur in Purvanchal. Ravi Kishan has mentioned in the letter that many films have been made in Bhojpuri language but in the last few decades there has been a significant decline in Bhojpuri film and especially its songs. Today’s Bhojpuri film and song has become synonymous with obscenity, which is a matter of grave concern. This is having an adverse effect on the mind and soul of the younger generation. Therefore there is a need to curb the obscenity of Bhojpuri films and songs.

Ravi Kishan has demanded the Central Government including the Uttar Pradesh Government and Bihar Government to make a strict law for this, so that obscenity in Bhojpuri songs and films can be banned. Ravi Kishan has mentioned that Bhojpuri, which is mainly spoken in the region of western Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh, in India, about 25 crore people understand Bhojpuri speaking and love Bhojpuri. There is a large number of people who know Bhojpuri all over the world. Respect of Bhojpuri is the responsibility of all of us. The Uttar Pradesh government and Bihar government, including the central government, will work to give a good message among the society by making laws for the respect of Bhojpuri For this he is completely sure.
