Outer district’s AATS has arrested a car thief absconding in the murder case from near Neelwal village. The accused was identified as Dev Kumar of Siddhipura village in Jhajjar. The police have recovered 8 bikes and scooters on its traces. In the investigation, another revelation of his crime was that he had helped in disposing of the dead body of his friend’s wife. A case of murder and concealment of evidence has been registered in this regard in Sadar Bahadurgarh police station. The police have claimed to have solved 9 cases including murder with the arrest of the accused.
According to DCP Parvinder Singh, on October 27, AATS got information about Dev Kumar’s arrival in Nilwal village. As soon as the information was received, the police laid siege. Dev Kumar had come by bike at that time. Investigation revealed that the miscreant had stolen the bike from Nihal Vihar.
During interrogation it was found that the accused is wanted in a murder case in Sadar Bahadurgarh, Haryana. He told that on October 11, his friend Vikrant had killed his wife Soni. At the behest of a friend, he had helped her in disposing of the dead body. They had taken the body of a friend’s wife on a bike at night and dumped it in the drain between Siddhipura and Mundela. To prevent the dead body from coming up, the dead body was tied with a stone. Investigation revealed that many cases of car theft are registered against Dev Kumar. On its traces, the police recovered four stolen bikes and three scooties from an empty plot located near Murli Dharmakanta.
