Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed his opinion about the increasing population in his address on the occasion of Dussehra. The Sangh chief was addressing the annual Vijayadashami rally at Nagpur’s Reshambagh Maidan. He said that the population policy should be considered once again. Mohan Bhagwat said that a policy should be made after considering up to 50 years ahead. Also that policy should be applied equally to all. The Sangh chief said that the imbalance of population is becoming a problem in the country and the world.
Along with population, its imbalance is also a problem.
The Sangh chief said that earlier people did not say, now they say what will they do with the population, it is increasing…it is increasing. So there must be a population policy. He said that he has thought here. The scholars decided to have two children in a family and the government accepted it. Mohan Bhagwat said that we feel that once again the population policy should be considered. The Sangh chief said that just as population can become a problem, similarly imbalance of population also becomes a problem.
Now who will feed the country of youth after 30 years
He said that at present we are a country of youth and 56-57 percent are youth in the country. Bhagwat said that after 30 years all of them will become old. Hands will also be needed to feed them. There is also a need to consider how many people working at that time will be needed. The Sangh chief discussed the pressure on the environment due to the increasing population.

use water sparingly
The Sangh chief said that we have to use water in a limited way. He said that if this is not done then there will be problem for everyone. He said that if we are happy then people will be happy. Mohan Bhagwat said that we should minimize the use of plastic. He said that the turn has come to remove what we call single use plastic from life. He said that today there is a need to increase greenery and plantation from home to courtyard, locality, village and fields.
