Pornography Case: Big relief to Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey from HC, police will not take any action

The Bombay High Court has given a big relief to Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey in the pornography case. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police had summoned Sherlyn Chopra for questioning in the past. He is to appear before the Crime Branch property cell on Tuesday itself at 11 am. But in the meantime, the Bombay High Court has directed the Mumbai Police not to take any coercive action against Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey till September 20. Sherlyn Chopra was already fearing arrest in the case, so she has also filed an anticipatory bail application in the sessions court.

Raj Kundra’s bail will also be heard
According to the news agency ‘ANI’, the crime branch’s property cell has summoned Sherlyn Chopra. He has been asked to appear before the Mumbai Crime Branch at 11 am on July 27, so that he can record his statement in the pornography case. On the other hand, Raj Kundra’s bail plea is also to be heard in Bombay High Court on Tuesday. Kundra’s police custody ends on Tuesday, he was arrested by the police after interrogation on the night of July 19, after which the fort court sent him on police remand.

Sherlyn Chopra had claimed in the past regarding the pornography case that she was among those who first gave a statement to the police in this matter. Both Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey have worked with Raj Kundra in one form or the other. Poonam Pandey had also accused Raj Kundra of cheating in 2019. He also applied in the Bombay High Court in this regard, which is to be heard.
