The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested Dr Vijay Kant Dixit, daughter and son-in-law of Jaypee Group founder and former chairman JP Gaur, Dr Vijay Kant Dixit for alleged misappropriation. Both are directors of JC World Hospitality Pvt Ltd.
Earlier, Delhi Police had registered a case against JC World Hospitality Pvt Ltd and its directors- Rita Dixit, Dr. Vijay Kant Dixit on a complaint filed by Dhirendra Nath and others. The complainant had booked two shops in JC World Mall, a project started by the said company in the year 2014. This mall is located in Jaypee Greens Sector-128, Noida.
It was promised about the shop that the possession of the units would be handed over in 30 months from the date of allotment letter. However, it is alleged that the builder has neither completed the construction work for the last 18 months nor is any construction work going on at the site. The complainant further alleged that despite holding several meetings with the directors of the alleged company, nothing worked out and they were only making false promises.

It is alleged that the alleged company, through its directors, cheated many buyers on the pretext of providing shops in its project. The company did not fulfill its promise and diverted buyers’ funds and misappropriated funds. It has also been found that the company neither returned the money nor completed the project. Delhi Police said in a statement that there are more than 30 complainants and the total amount involved is around Rs 12 crore.
