Review: Special Ops 1.5 Season 1

Story: If you have seen the previous web series then you would know that 2 officers Chadha (Parmeet Sethi) and Banerjee (Kali Prasad Mukherjee) have been appointed to investigate Himmat Singh (KK Menon). Like last time, this time too Delhi Police Inspector Abbas Shaikh (Vinay Pathak) once again narrates the story of Himmat Singh’s early career in flashback. In it, Abbas Shaikh reveals that Maninder (Adil Khan), a former RAW agent, has some intelligence that he can pass on to the enemies. Himmat gets the responsibility to stop Maninder and then begins an interesting mouse-cat game between the two in which this time his partner Vijay () is also present to help Himat.

Review: Directed by director Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair, this thriller web series is made in 4 parts. Like the previous series, Neeraj Pandey has tried his best to tie it through the character and story in which he seems to be successful. This time the main focus of the story has been kept on the characters of Vijay and Maninder along with Himmat. This time some fight scenes of the series have become very good. Overall, this series may seem a little less than the previous series, but it is going to be fun to watch.

Acting: KK Menon has once again brought life to the character of Himmat Singh. He looks great just like the last part. This series cannot be imagined without KK Menon. Along with Menon, Aftab Shivdasani’s character Vijay appears in every frame and his work is also good. Vinay Pathak who is narrating the story of Himmat has looked as good as last time. Adil Khan is also seen promising in the role of Villain. Aishwarya Sushmita, who debuted in the character of Karishma, told that she has a lot of potential left in her as an actor. The rest of the actors have also played their characters well in supporting roles.

Why watch: If you have seen the previous part of ‘Special Ops’ then this web series is a must watch. It won’t disappoint.
