On Monday, 19 people from 3 families again converted to Hinduism at Surajkund temple in Kandhla town of Shamli district in UP. About 12 years ago these people of Banjara fraternity had converted to Muslim religion. On Monday, Mahant Yashveer Maharaj re-initiated 19 people to Hinduism with full rituals. In fact, a week ago, a Muslim couple from Kandhla and their four children also voluntarily converted to Hinduism.

Anita, made from Imrana, told that earlier in the tradition of our community, we used to bury the dead. But the people of Hindu society did not allow our dead to be buried. Angered by this, we converted to Muslim religion 12 years ago. Today 19 people from 3 families have converted to Hinduism again. There are elders, there are small ones and there are children too. He said that we have happily and of our own free will return to Hinduism.

‘Ghar Wapsi’ by religious rituals
Mahant Yashveer Maharaj, who made all these people ‘ghar wapsi’ by religious rituals, told that there are different funeral rites prevalent in Hinduism, including burial. Hindu society has no objection if someone bury their dead bodies according to tradition. He told that when we presented our views in front of the Banjara fraternity, then all these things were understood. And they have again adopted Hinduism while returning their ‘ghar wapsi’.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad said this thing
Yashveer Maharaj said that our ancestors are the same, no matter what religion they have adopted. In this regard, Vishwa Hindu Parishad District Minister Sohan Veer Singh said that wherever people are converting to Islam, Vishwa Hindu Parishad is with them whole-heartedly to get their ‘ghar wapsi’ done.

The matter of religious conversion came to the fore from Kasganj

Adopted Hinduism with wife and 4 children
Earlier, a Muslim couple and their four children from Shamli’s Kandhala had converted to Hinduism on their own volition. The couple reached the Shamli Collectorate and gave an affidavit to the officials. Rashid-turned-developer says that 12 years ago his parents had converted to Muslim religion, but they no longer want to remain Muslim, so they are adopting Hinduism of their own free will.
