On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government has announced reward on 7 accused related to Sign City Group of Companies under the campaign being run to nab criminals in the state.

Giving information, UP Additional Chief Secretary, Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that earlier also a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced on the wanted accused Rashid Naseem and Asif Naseem, which has now been increased to Rs 5 lakh. In this episode, a reward of Rs 1 lakh each has been announced by the government on the other 5 wanted accused Ashish Kanojia, Nitin Jaiswal, Jasim Khan, Abhishek Yadav and Shahid. At the same time, the Crime Branch team of Varanasi Commissionerate has also arrested Mushtaq Alam, an accused associated with Shine City, from Siwan (Bihar).

Cases are also registered in the police stations of other districts of the state.

ACS Home, Avnish Awasthi informed that the Economic Offenses Research Organization has received the investigation of 284 cases registered against the Sign City Group of Companies in different police stations of different districts of UP in compliance with the order of the High Court. Simultaneously, continuous efforts are being made to arrest the wanted accused in the charges.

Action under Section 82/83 CrPC has been taken against 2 of the 7 accused wanted in the registered case and other charges in Prayagraj and Section 82 CrPC against the remaining 5 accused.
